EDITORs welcome by Tara
Ciampa - EDITOR
..After
many years of having myself witness what I believed to be paranormal
experiences of a personal nature in two residences these events prompted
me to do a lot of reading, research and study on the subject of understanding
and scientifically detecting these anomalies. There is a sensitive
in my family and that made my life pretty atypical. Based on that
research if I wanted to get answers I felt the K-2 meter would be
the device I needed. I today own my own K-2 meter (just
like the one you see on TV on Ghost hunters).
..This
device works really well. The premise this meter works on is that
it detects “electro-magnetic
fields.” Spirits need to draw energy when
they manifest and this meter will spike and move all crazy when there
is something
paranormal taking place. There are times when it is not paranormal
activity you are picking up. That is when the lights go solid when
you are near to appliances or some man made device generating electro
magnetic energy. I felt, since there was such a rise in paranormal
activity in my home and very constant which was causing interruptions
in sleep
due to noises coming from the paranormal realm I had to consult
a psychic. I chose Lynard Bluewolf, a psychic I found online
from Oklahoma.
http://www.lynardbluewolf.com/
..Lynard was very personable. During our first conversation he started
describing someone in my family (it
wasn’t me). I said you
just described my daughter in detail. I said you are obviously
making a connection to her. My daughter was seeing auras and Lynard,
I felt,
could advise her on understanding her abilities better. Lynard
said yes, I have been able to see auras from a young age. He said
when
I was younger he would say that man is on fire, but in reality
it was their aura he was seeing. Lynard also described how he couldn’t
own a modern car because electrical things would short out. He said
his computers don’t last long either. Lynard was my introduction
to the world of psychics and he was an extraordinary ambassador.
He left me wanting to know more. Since I didn’t have the
funds to call psychics very often I read as much as I could on
the subject.
..One thing that I was highly concerned about was an incident that
took place on a used piece of furniture. It was a green sleeper
sofa. One day my daughter was asleep on it while it was folded
out into
a bed and I saw her leg being lifted high in the air and then suddenly
dropped. Something unseen was manipulating her. That was the scariest
thing I had ever witnessed. I woke her up and told her to stay
away from that couch and to never sleep on it again. If I had my
way I
would have gotten rid of that couch immediately. My ex did not
believe in anything paranormal. I did not even mention this to
him knowing
full well he would have only criticized what I had to say. I did
not let his ignorance and disinterest dissuade me from searching
for answers to the strange occurrences taking place all around
us in our very own home.
..My
(now ex) husband claimed that couch as his own and he fell under
its spell. He insisted on sleeping on it constantly. It changed
him for the worse. He wouldn’t speak to us and he wanted
us out of the living room. If we went in there he would turn up
the tv full
blast and drive us out. One day I had a little fender bender and
I said: "I had an accident with the Jeep".
He just looked straight ahead and would not acknowledge what I
was even saying. I made
plans to leave the day he was walking through the house cocking
his shotgun.
I felt he was losing his mind and possibly could do us harm. He
was acting so odd and closing himself off from his family. He was
saying
strange things too. He said he was going to rip the light out of
the ceiling. I wondered if he was on drugs he was acting so bizarre.
Perhaps it was a mixture of the drugs and that opening him up to
whatever entity was present in the home influencing him.
..I told Lynard (the psychic) about what I witnessed take place on that
couch. He said there was a rape committed on that couch. That
caught me by surprise. That was unsettling news. I had some used
furniture in the house and he explained that the spirits were attached
to the furniture. That was a new concept to me but I didn’t
doubt him. Who else was going to explain the unexplainable to me.
I also told him about my (now ex) husband’s behavior. He said
in a very firm voice: Get out of there now. His tone alarmed me because
I didn’t come from the most loving family and my dad would
not take me in while I saved up for a security deposit to have
a place of my own. I was stuck in that situation far longer than
I
was comfortable with. I stayed there until I saved enough money
to move out and I did. Being stuck in that environment taught me
how
oppressive being around something evil really was. Not being able
to leave was unbearable. Anyone caught in a similar situation has
my empathy.
..While
on a pre-interview at a haunted bar/restaurant the owner said to
me: "You
don’t think I’m
crazy do you"? I said:
"Well
no, I run a paranormal online magazine. I am not against ruling out
things that can be explained as {not
being paranormal}.” One
example would be her kitchen. She was working in an area that made
the K-2 meter go up to its highest level (5)
and stay there steady. She was being {bombarded} by high electromagnetic
fields. Studies
have show that when a person is exposed to high levels of electromagnetic
fields it can cause dizziness, fatigue, anxiety, decreased mental
functions and weakness. She told me workers frequently saw something
eerie passing in front of the door when working in the kitchen.
I
felt that was quite possibly due to the high magnetic fields making
them hallucinate.
..However, the electromagnetic energy a spirit entity produces is
not prolonged or even considered a high level so hallucinations
and dizziness
would not come into play. EMF's that move (through walls
for example, around a room, or say up-and-down stairs) are what I would consider
indicators of paranormal
activity. You may also notice EMF's that appear, and then disappear
randomly. This would also be suspect of paranormal activity taking
place in that location. Investigators also use the calling out
of questions and the K-2 can be placed on a table untouched by
human
hands and it will still react at times.
..The
vastness and mystic nature of the paranormal and the spirit world made
me want to create a magazine that would bring a lot of different
ideas and experts together in one place. I originally wanted this to
be a printed publication. I ran the idea, when it first struck me by
Joe (my
boyfriend and now assistant editor). He suggested
we do this all on the web. So, right now my publication lives on the
web since it
would take major financing to create a printed publication. Not to mention
we reach a worldwide audience being on the web.
To
date, after being online for only {two
years}
this is the worldwide readers we have gotten: United Kingdom, Australia,
Germany, Mexico, Sweden,
Italy, Philippines, Mexico, Ireland, Israel, Netherlands, India, Pakistan,
China, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Portugal, Hong Kong, Spain, Malaysia, Columbia,
Poland, Turkey, Belgium, Croatia, Romania, Serbia, Fiji, Russian Federation,
Vietnam, Finland, Norway, Greece, Switzerland, Nigeria, Denmark, and
Singapore.

GALLUP Survey
Methods Results
in the current survey are based on telephone interviews with
1,002 national adults, aged 18 and older, conducted June
6-8, 2005. For results based on the total sample of national
adults, one can say with 95% confidence that the maximum
margin of sampling error is ±3 percentage points.
In addition to sampling error, question wording and practical
difficulties in conducting surveys can introduce error or
bias into the findings of public opinion polls. "For
each of the following items I am going to read you, please
tell me whether it is something you believe in, something
you're not sure about, or something you don't believe in.
